Seascape One 2 bedroom condo

One of the newest additions to the condo market in South Redondo was missed by us when it hit the market as it doesn’t show in area 157 (the “area” number realtors use to specify neighborhood).  

We haven’t been through this one yet and it’s a bit hard to decipher the condition as the photos don’t convey much.  It appears to be a nicely updated and maintained unit but it’s just a bit hard to tell.  The listing also mentions “breathtaking views” but there are no photos of it, so again a bit hard to know.

As mentioned the home appears to have been nicely remodeled.  Some of the highlights include updated kitchen with cherry cabinetry, granite counters, stainly appliances and more.   

Due to the loft style upper level bedroom, the condo offers soaring ceilings in the living room as well as an abundance of natural light.

Both bathrooms have been updated and the home has a nice beachy look and vibe with coastal colors and finishes.   The home also offers a outdoor deck off of the living room.

Seascape One sits just east of King Harbor and the Redondo Beach pier, just off of Czuleger Park and a very short distance to the beach and bikepath.

Seascape 1 has a nice pool and spa area.

The latest sale in the Seascape and Village condo complexes in South Redondo Beach was a good one.  The 1st floor condo still offered a nice view but we were a bit surprised that it sold this high.  The condo was listed at $1,200,000 and sold for $1,300,000.  We anticipated it selling somewhere in between those numbers.

120 The Village #101 was a very nicely updated condo in Seascape 2.  The single level condo was a first floor unit but as it’s in the 120 building on the north side it’s over the driveway and parking entrance so it offered a  much more expansive view than you would think when you hear 1st floor.  It was  also a corner unit giving it more light and windows to take in the views and beach breezes.

As mentioned the home had been nicely updated with bamboo hardwood floors throughout, newer kitchen with beautiful cabinetry, granite counters and stainless appliances (other than oven which is white).  The bathrooms are not quite as updated but very nicely done as well.

Community amenities include a really nice pool and spa deck, small fitness room, gated and secure parking and entry and onsite manager.

The market must be picking up some steam with 2 new listings in Seascape 2 hitting the market this week.

The latest home is a 2 bedroom 1st floor condo located at 140 The Village #101.  This condo is listed by Liz Cotton of Re/Max Estate Properties.

The home is somewhat upgraded with newer kitchen and bathroom counters and a few other minor updates.  It’s still fairly original and priced appropriately for the location and condition.

The amenities in Seascape 2 include a very nice pool and spa deck, small fitness room, on site manager and gated access.

All of this is located just east of the pier and King Harbor and next to Czuleger Park.

2023 Recap - 19 Condos and Townhomes Sold in The Village and Seascapes

It was a great year for ocean view condo and townhome sales in The Village and Seascapes 1, 2, and 3. 

There were 19 total condo and townhome sales in the 4 complexes.  For the homes that sold the average list price was $1,140,995 with an average sales price of $1,127,194. 

The median sales price was $1,180,000.  Homes averaged $980 per square feet and average days on market was 48….although the median days on market was a very brief 16.

New condo hits the market in line with the recent sale of 640 The Village #214 which sold at $875,000…..the highest price for a 1 bedroom condo ever in the Village.

This would have been a pretty unheard of price until recently.  This newest condo has been nicely updated but it’s both further back in the building compared with 640 #214 and the equivalent of one floor lower meaning views are nice but not really comparable.

We’ll have to see if the market has now reajusted to this new price point or if that was just a unique situation.  No doubt that the market is humming along so we’ll keep our eye on this one.
