The newest condo to hit the market in south Redondo Beach is a 1 bedroom condo in The Village. The oceanview unit is on the top floor which is ideal, but it’s the furthest 1 bedroom from the water so definitely a trade off…..that said it offers nice ocean views being on the top floor.

The condo has been fairly updated with the highlight being the remodeled bath along with the scraped (no more popcorn) ceilings with the addition of some recessed lights. The kitchen has been updated at some point as it’s certainly not original but appears to be an older remodel. The home offers a rare top floor location so nobody above and that much higher to take in the views. The one bedrooms are an efficient use of space and they always feel larger than the 619 square feet would indicate.
The amenities at The Village are a highlight as not only does the community have nice grounds, BBQ area and an “owners” pool and jacuzzi….they also have use of the resort level facilities of the adjacent Ocean Club apartments including harbor view deck with lounge seeting, great pool and spa, small market/deli and an excelent fitness center. This unusual arrangement keeps HOA dues low while offering resort level amenities.
The condo last sold in November 2020 for $652,000.
Welcome to the month that was for home sales and home prices in Redondo Beach California.
The real estate market ramped up compared with January, with 45 homes closing escrow. Compare that to only 31 in January.
The average list price of the homes that sold was $1,706,508 with the average sold price at $1,669,976 meaning homes tended to sell below full price. The average sale price was very similar to January’s $1,641,500 average and up from $1,587,060 in December and $1,614,231 in November.
The average price per square foot was $804 and homes averaged 64 days on the market (DOM) before going into escrow.
2 of the homes that sold were on the Redondo Beach Esplanade with no condo sales in the Village or Seascape buildings.
11 were in south Redondo Beach or 90277 with an average price of $1,894,174 and a very lengthy average of 108 days on market.

The real estate market started 2026 off slow with only 31 homes closing escrow in January. Compare that with 49 in December. It was completely expected as December is always a very slow month for new listings and escrows due to the holidays.
31 homes sold during the month compared with 49 closed escrows in December, 46 in November, and 60 in October.
The average list price was $1,652,432 and the average sale price at $1,641,500 which was a jump from $1,587,060 in December and $1,614,231 in November.
The average price per square foot was $858 and homes averaged a fairly brief 41 days on the market (DOM) before going into escrow.
Of the homes that sold 8 were in south Redondo Beach or 90277 with an average price of $1,883,625 and an average of 41 days on market. There were no sold condos in The Village or Seascape and only one on the Esplanade. The oceanfront condo at 727 Esplanade #302 sold for $2,400,000.
20 were in north Redondo Beach 90278 with a $1,563,875 average price and 34 days on market.
