We don’t see many oceanfront condos come up for sale in this building and this is a nice one.

575 Esplanade #205 is Ed Kaminsky and Tina Kaminsky Phillips of eXp Realty.

This is one of the smaller oceanfront condo buildings on the Esplanade with only 21 units.  #205 is oceanfront….and the views are incredible.  It feels more like being on a ship than in a condo. 

Another rare aspect of the unit is that both the living room (as well as elevated kitchen and dining) and primary bedroom face the ocean.  In most buildings it’s a bit of a tradeoff but not here.

The condo is in mostly original condition but does appear to have been well maintained and taken care of.  The unit is towards the rear of the building and combined with the first floor location means the ocean view is minimal, although you most definitely can see it from the balcony and you can certainly sense that you’re near the beach.

The Village has a nice pool and spa area but also has access to the resort level facilities of the adjacent Ocean Club including fitness center, pool and spa, deli/market and harbor view outdoor deck.

One of the most recent condo sales in south Redondo Beach was a rare top floor studio at 610 The Village.  The reason they are so rare is that there are only six studio units per building (majority are 1 bedrooms).  The studios are the furthest east in the buildings so unfortunately views are from further back.  That said the top floor units have very nice views even from the back.

Redondo Beach real estate market update for October 2024

55 sold homes at an Average Price of $1,705,178

There were 55 sold homes in Redondo Beach in October compared with 48 in September and  57 in August..

The average asking price was $1,742,189 with the average sold price at $1,705,178 which was a huge increase over the average price of $1,506,876 in September.  

Homes averaged $881 fairly similar to prior months.  Homes averaged 40 days on market before going into escrow which was a week longer than in September.

Of the homes that sold 32 were in north Redondo Beach in the 90278 zip with an average price of $1,500,277.

23 were in south Redondo Beach or 90277 (including some Hollywood Riviera homes) at an average price of $1,990,258. 

Of the homes that sold 4 were in the Village and Seascape condos in South Redondo Beach and 2 were oceanfront condos on the Esplanade.
