Redondo Beach Average Home Price $1,641,500 in January

The real estate market started 2026 off slow with only 31 homes closing escrow in January. Compare that with 49 in December.  It was completely expected as December is always a very slow month for new listings and escrows due to the holidays.

31 homes sold during the month compared with 49 closed escrows in December, 46 in November, and 60 in October.

The average list price was $1,652,432 and the average sale price at $1,641,500 which was a jump from $1,587,060 in December and $1,614,231 in November.

The average price per square foot was $858 and homes averaged a fairly brief 41 days on the market (DOM) before going into escrow.

Of the homes that sold 8 were in south Redondo Beach or 90277 with an average price of $1,883,625 and an average of 41 days on market.  There were no sold condos in The Village or Seascape and only one on the Esplanade.  The oceanfront condo at 727 Esplanade #302 sold for $2,400,000.

20 were in north Redondo Beach 90278 with a $1,563,875 average price and 34 days on market. 

 

The rest were  in the Hollywood Riviera with a Redondo Beach 90277 mailing address but the homes are actually in the city of Torrance.

December 2025 real estate report for Redondo Beach

Average home price in Redondo Beach $1,587,060 in December

It was a good, but not great, month for the real estate market in Redondo Beach.   The number of home sales was down slightly, prices were down a bit, and days on market jumped up. 

There were 49 home sales in December compared with 46 in November, 60 in October and 43 in September.  55 homes sold a year prior in December 2024.

The average asking price was $1,608,222 with the average sold price at $1,587,060 which was slightly lower than November’s average price of $1,614,231 but still impressive.

The average price per square foot was $885 and homes averaged a lengthy 80 days on the market (DOM) before going into escrow.

Of the homes that sold 24 were in north Redondo Beach 90278 with a $1,511,707 average price.  14 were in south Redondo Beach or 90277 with an average price of $1,386,357.  The rest were  in the Hollywood Riviera with a Redondo Beach 90277 mailing address but the homes are actually in the city of Torrance.

That said we’re happy to report a new oceanfront condo sale at 565 Esplanade #308.  The condo was originally listed at $1,399,999 and sold for $1,300,000 after about a month on the market.   This is truly beachfront/oceanfront and views are unreal.
